TERMS AND CONDITIONS


  1. Rental fees include rental period, applicable taxes and all shipping costs.
  2. Renter will receive the Simulator Baby after rental fees are paid, a credit card preauthorization for security deposit and late fees is authorized and a signed rental contract is received by Provider.
  3. The Rental Start Date begins the day the delivery confirmation is noted by the Shipping Provider that Renter has received the Simulator Baby.
  4. On the Rental End Date, Renter will box up Baby and all supplies, i.e., Care Keys, packing material and secure them in the same 2 boxes in which they arrived.
  5. The Rental End Date is the last day of the rental period (example 3 night/4 day rental) If rental starts on a Monday, then the rental end date is Thursday.
  6. Renter will ship simulator baby via UPS or FEDEX Ground only and postmark date on package to reflect the end rental date. A $30 per day charge will be assessed if returned after rental end date.
  7. Renter must choose rental date that does not end on Sunday, a non-shipping day.
  8. Rental period does not include shipping time.
  9. Allow for 3-5 days for shipping.
  10. Renter can request a 2 day or overnight shipping for an additional charge, where applicable.
  11. Babys Are For Real Simulator Baby have an electronic device located inside and can be damaged if Renter does not use appropriate care. 
  12. Renter understands that they are financially responsible for the Simulator Baby and will be charged $500 if it is not returned, or if it is damaged, lost or destroyed.
  13. Payment will be received through Square on Babys Are For Real website checkout process.
  14. Credit card preauthorization will be processed during the Rental contract process.
  15. Rental fees include rental period, applicable taxes and shipping costs.
  16. Payment of the Rental Fees and Credit card pre-authorization for Security Deposit and Late fees will be due prior to the Start Date of the Rental.
  17. The credit card preauthorization is for the following:
  18. Renter will be charged $500 if baby simulator is not returned, or is damaged, lost or destroyed.
  19. Renter will be charged a $30 per day late fee if returned after rental end date.
  20. Credit Card Preauthorization will be cancelled once we receive baby simulator back in good condition and renter will receive email confirmation.
  21. Requested cancellations must be made before Simulator Baby is shipped. If request for cancellation occurs after Simulator Baby is shipped, Renter will be responsible for price of all shipping costs.
  22. IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE BE AWARE THERE IS A MAGNET IN THE BODY OF THE SIMULATOR BABY AND A CHANCE IT COULD CAUSE INTERFERENCE WITH A PACEMAKER OR IMPLANTED ELECTRONIC DEVICE.
  23. Renter will receive Simulator Baby Instructions and a 9 Volt battery.
  24. Important: Please Remove Battery from Simulator Baby before shipping.
  25. The Simulator Baby provides a realistic idea of the demands of being a parent.
  26. The Simulator Baby will cry, coo, burp, need a diaper change and need attention throughout the day and night. The renter will be responsible for providing proper care of the simulator baby as if it were a real baby.
  27. The Simulator Baby should be always with the renter, except in emergency situations, which you can use the babysitter key to quiet the baby, until you are ready to resume baby care.
  28. The Simulator Baby is an educational tool not a toy. It is intended for use by adults and children over 12 years of age.
  29. When the Simulator Baby cries, choose a White Care Key and insert it into the control box to quiet the baby. If you insert the wrong key the baby will continue to cry until you insert the correct key.
  30. As a responsible Renter, you agree to:
  31. Care for the Baby as if it were a real baby and never leave the baby alone.
  32. Do not tamper with the electronic box in the back of the baby.
  33. Do not throw the baby up in the air and catch it, drop it, hit it, shake it or throw it.
  34. Watch pets around the baby
  35. Do not smoke around the baby
  36. Baby is made of vinyl, which is absorbent. Do not set it on printed materials of any kind (newspapers, magazines etc.) as the inks can permanently stain the manikin.
  37. If you travel in a car with the baby, the baby must be strapped in by a seat belt in the back seat of the vehicle. Baby can become a flying projectile if there is a sudden stop or accident. If baby cries while driving, safely pull over and stop vehicle before tending to babies needs.
  38. Renter agrees to inspect Simulator Baby when it is delivered. Renter will notify Provider immediately if baby simulator is damaged, lost or destroyed.
  39. Renter agrees to hold Provider (Babys Are For Real) harmless for any damage or injuries caused as a result of any negligence on Renter’s part.
  40. In no event will Provider’s (Babys Are For Real) liability exceed the total amount paid by Renter to the Provider (Babys Are For Real) for the Rental of the Goods for any cause of action or future claim.
  41. Renter hereby acknowledges and agrees, as above, that Provider (Babys Are For Real) is not liable for any special, indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
